Very sound moving dog, nice outline, balanced head with good mouth, eye and earset, lots of style and confidence, presented in very nice condition and handled so well BOB, G2. Cockers OD 1 De Carteret and Hatley's Dunnfisheau Monsieur Blue at Derrindee. Won this class on his movement and condition.

02 November 2002 - The Kennel Club of Jersey Members Show (Judge Mr Peter Darby) - "Douglas" (Kyna Charlie Brown at Derrindee) won Cocker Spaniel Limit Dog or Bitch, Best of Breed, Group 4 in the Gundog Group and Best Junior Gundog. "Bart" (Dunnfisheau Monsieur Blue at Derrindee) won his class but was beaten by Douglas for the Best of Breed. He was also 2nd in AV Gundog Open.

27 October 2002 - The Guernsey Dog Club - Winter Open Show (Judge Mr Bob Brampton) - "Douglas" (Kyna Charlie Brown at Derrindee) won Cocker Spaniel Novice, Best of Breed (this was his first), Reserve in the Gundog Group, AV Gundog Junior, AV Gundog Novice. Then he went on to win Best Junior and Best Novice in Show. "Bart" (Dunnfisheau Monsieur Blue at Derrindee) won Cocker Spaniel Open, AV Gundog Open and Best Locally Bred Gundog. What a great day !!!!!!

Mr Bill Bunce's critique as printed in Our Dogs 04 October 2002 - "Cockers P 1 De Carteret and Hatley's Kyna Charlie Brown at Derrindee. Excellent young roan d in superb condition. Good skull shape, dentition and kind biddable eye. Good reach of neck leading to substantial chest and well sprung ribcage. Good balance between front and rear assemblies. Moved wth effortless drive from well placed hocks and tight feet. Well deserved winner of Gundog Puppy Group and BPIS."

BPIS Critique - BPIS went to De Carteret and Hatley's delightul roan Cocker d, Kyna Charlie Brown at Derrindee. In excellent condition with correct shape of skull, kind alert eye, perfect dentition and balanced square body, he couldn't be ignored. He moved out with drive and ease, never losing that characteristic "Cocker" style.

01 September 2002 - The Guernsey Dog Club - Autumn Open Show (Judge Mr Bill Bunce) - "Douglas" (Kyna Charlie Brown at Derrindee)won Cocker Spaniel Puppy, Best Cocker Spainel Dog, Best Gundog Puppy, Best Gundog under eighteen months, Best in Show under eighteen months and Best Puppy in Show. The Best Puppy in Show has qualified Douglas for Crufts in 2003 !!! A day that I will never forget ... (See picture below). "Bart" (Dunnfisheau Monsieur Blue at Derrindee) was 2nd in Open Dog and Best Locally Bred Gundog.

11 August 2002 - Island Dog Training Club - Pet Show - "Douglas" (Kyna Charlie Brown at Derrindee) was Best Puppy and won £5 in CASH!!! I also entered him in the Fancy Dress class. We didn't win but he did have lots of ahhhhs from the spectators !!!!

03 August 2002 - The Kennel Club of Jersey Summer Open Show (Judge Mr Jack Bowen) - "Douglas" (Kyna Charlie Brown at Derrindee) was 2nd in Cocker Spaniel Puppy Dog or Bitch out of 4 and 2nd in A.V. Gundog Puppy Dog or Bitch out of 7. "Bart" (Dunnfisheau Monsieur Blue at Derrindee) - was 1st in Cocker Spaniel Open Dog (3 entered) and had a VHC in A.V. Gundog Open Dog out of 8. 07 July 2002 - Paignton & District Fanciers Association Championship Show (Judge Mrs Sheila Sadler) "Douglas" (Kyna Charlie Brown at Derrindee) was reserve in Minor Puppy Dog.

16 June 2002 - Guernsey Dog Club Centenary Open Show (Judge Mr J Parsons) - "Douglas" (Kyna Charlie Brown at Derrindee) was 3rd in Cocker Spaniel Puppy and 2nd in A.V. Stakes Puppy Dog. "Bart" (Dunnfisheau Monsieur Blue at Derrindee) was 1st in Cocker Spaniel Open Dog, 2nd in Centenary Special Open Gundog Dog and 2nd in A.V. Stakes Open Dog under Mrs Joyce Mann in some very strong competition.

02 June 2002 - Saffron Walden & North Essex Canine Society Open Show (Judge Mrs V Foss) - "Douglas" (Kyna Charlie Brown at Derrindee) was 2nd in A.V.N.S.C Puppy, and 3rd in A.V. Gundog Puppy.

01 June 2002 - Southern Counties Championship Show (Judge Mr A E Simpson) - "Douglas" (Kyna Charlie Brown at Derrindee) was Reserve in Minor Puppy Dog. "Bart" (Dunnfisheau Monsieur Blue at Derrindee) was Reserve in Post Graduate Dog.

04 May 2002 - The Kennel Club of Jersey Spring Open Show (Judge Mr Bill Browne-Cole) - "Douglas" (Kyna Charlie Brown at Derrindee) was 2nd Minor Puppy Dog or Bitch and he was 3rd AV Minor Puppy Dog or Bitch against some strong competition. "Bart" (Dunnfisheau Monsieur Blue at Derrindee) was 1st Open Dog and 3rd AV Open Dog again against some strong competition.

Mrs Herrington's critique as printed in Dog World April 19, 2002 - "Cockers OD - 1 Carteret & Hatley's Dunnfisheau Monsieur Blue at Derrindee, masculine head & expressions, good length of neck, good bone & feet, good angulation, moved freely & merrily. BOB & G2".
